Raymond James Stadium Hotel

When you call the Westshore Grand your home-away-from-home in Tampa, you’ve got a royal platter of entertainment options within your easy grasp—and that includes Raymond James Stadium, only a few miles from our chic Tribute Portfolio hotel.

This fall, the action over at that 65,000-plus-capacity stadium comes a mile a minute. Here’s an overview of some of the good stuff going down on the field and on the stage—and an invitation to experience it firsthand with luxury accommodations at the Westshore Grand!

Raymond James Stadium: The Pirate Ship

The “Ray Jay” is best known, of course, as the home of our very own NFL team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If you’re a football fan, you couldn’t ask for more convenient accommodations for watching the Bucs do their stuff on the gridiron than the Westshore Grand.

QB Jameis Winston and the rest of the team, whose preseason was the subject of the latest edition of HBO’s documentary series Hard Knocks, have their work cut out for them in the NFC South, but hey, It’s still early in the season. Get your Bucs tickets here: Upcoming games at Raymond James Stadium include the Carolina Panthers on October 29, the New York Jets on November 12, and the Lions on December 10.

Trivia time! Raymond James Stadium has hosted two Super Bowls: XXXV in 2001, when the Ravens trounced the Giants, and XLIII in 2009, which saw the Steelers beat the Cardinals in a much tighter contest. The stadium will again have the honor of presenting the NFL championship game in 2021.

College Football

The Bucs aren’t the only football team defending the Raymond James Stadium turf: This is also where the South Florida Bulls of the University of South Florida play. You can check out their 2017 schedule here.

And, of course, the stadium also hosts the Outback Bowl on New Year’s Day.

Looking Ahead to 2018 Happenings at the Ray Jay

Each year Raymond James Stadium brings some of the music world’s heavy-hitting names to Tampa, and needless to say there are some genuine heavy-hitters heading here in 2018. On April 21, country star Kenny Chesney pays a visit on his “Trip Around the Sun Tour,” backed by Thomas Rhett and Old Dominon and Brandon Lay. And come November 7, pop megastar Ed Sheeran will bring his 2018 North American Stadium Tour to the Ray Jay.

Monster-truck rallies will crank up the engine noise in the stadium, on January 13 and February 3, while Monster Energy Supercross comes screeching into the venue on February 24.

At the Westshore Grand, you’re perfectly set up for anything Raymond James Stadium has to offer: from pigskin battles to big-name concerts!
