4th of July Events in Tampa Bay
Here’s a big patriotic invitation to come mark the 242nd birthday of the United States here on lovely Tampa Bay with a summer holiday getaway to the Westshore Grand! Tampa Red White & Blue Festival
Among the highlights of Tampa’s Fourth of July observances, the Red White & Blue Festival takes place on Independence Day from 2 to 7 PM at Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park, mere minutes from the Westshore Grand. The revelry—free for one and all—includes fresh seafood, hot dogs, and other crowd-pleasing fare plus live music courtesy of Art & the Alibis, F & R Music Project, and other bands, celebrity magician Raushan Hammond, a rich array of arts-and-crafts vendors in the American Art Zone, and lots and lots of family-friendly games and raffles.
The Fourth of July at Busch Gardens
If it’s slam-bang fireworks you’re seeking, head over to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay for some classic Fourth of July pyrotechnics. If you’ve got kids in tow, you can make a full day of it by enjoying this world-famous amusement park’s roller coasters and other rides, then settle in for the drawn-out fireworks spectacle come evening.
The Independence Run
On July 1st, meanwhile, you can participate in or spectate at the Independence Run 5k and 10k at Al Lopez Park in North Tampa. The run itself will come accentuated with live music, face-painting, a food truck, and other family-friendly fun.
Mayor’s Food Truck Fiesta
This monthly tradition in Lykes Gaslight Square Park in Downtown Tampa overlaps with the Fourth of July: good news for your appetite and your taste buds! A full fleet of local food trucks—from Anju Korean Gastotruck and Tree Dog Roots to Sushi Motion and the Surly Mermaid—will be serving up delicious fare from 11 AM to 2 PM.
Fourth of July Fireworks Dinner Cruise
