Tampa, FL Lodging for Barns & Beer Craft Beer Festival
The Sunshine State happens to be a fabulous place to enjoy high-quality American craft beer, and coming up fast on the Greater Tampa calendar is an awesome celebration of that beloved beverage.
We’re talking about the Barns & Beer Craft Festival up at Old McMicky’s Farm in Odessa—an easy trip north from the Tampa Bay luxury you enjoy here at the Westshore Grand. Come join us for the on-the-farm party this April 7th!
Old McMicky’s Farm
For many decades, Old McMicky’s Farm delighted thousands and thousands of children from across the country with the horseback rides, campfires, and other old-fashioned rural fun it offered as part of the long-running Camp Keystone.
It reopened in 2013 to give new generations the opportunity to get up-close and personal with farm animals, hands-on experience with milking and other agricultural activities, and have a blast via barn mazes, hayrides, and other country-style attractions.
Old McMicky’s Farm also puts an emphasis on community support and giving, its many charitable activities including child-adoption events and dream weddings for active service members and military veterans as well as local teachers.
The 2018 Barns & Beer Craft Beer Festival
The Barns & Beer Craft Beer Festival is Old McMicky’s Farm’s primary fundraiser and goes to benefit the Old McMicky’s Farm Foundation that makes the organization’s abovementioned community service possible.
In other words, all that great beer and great fun is for a good cause! And when we say great beer, we mean it: The festival features better than 100 craft brews as well as wines and ciders, with some of the most exciting breweries in the region and the country—including Florida Avenue Brewing Co., Cigar City Brewing, Motorworks Brewing, Tampa Bay Brewing Co., and Coppertail Brewing Co.—part of the proceedings. Local food trucks will be providing the beer-friendly grub.
As you taste these fine and varied selections, you’ll also have plenty of entertainment to enjoy, including live music from the Soul Circus Cowboys and the irresistible appeal of the Barns & Beer Craft Beer Festival’s own mechanical bull and dunk tank. Monster trucks, beer pong, and the honor (via a small donation) of wearing the Barns & Beer Queen’s tiara are other highlights. The Barns & Beer Craft Beer Festival will also feature a special ceremony to honor local recipients of the Purple Heart Medal.
The soiree gets underway at 6:30 PM on Saturday the 7th (with VIP entry an hour earlier) and runs until 10:30 PM.
So reserve your Tribute Portfolio lodgings at the Westshore Grand here in Tampa, and head up to Old McMicky’s Farm in nearby Odessa this Saturday, April 7th for fantastic beer, fantastic entertainment, and a fantastic cause!
